What are the safety precautions when operating a lead smelting furnace?
1. Employees should wear protective equipment, hard hats, and dust masks before work. Check whether the power system, instruments, and furnace body are intact. If any abnormality is found, repair it immediately and wait until the repair is completed before operating.
2. The amount of lead waste added to the furnace should not be too much, so that the molten lead liquid is about 10-20 cm away from the furnace opening to prevent the lead liquid from overflowing and scalding the human body.
3. When adding raw materials continuously, the lead waste should be lifted to the furnace opening by the elevator to prevent the lead liquid from splashing and injuring the human body.
4. During the lead smelting process, the lead smelting tools should be cleaned in time, such as lead ingot molds, lead spoons, etc., and the spoons should be kept dry at all times to prevent the lead liquid from splashing and injuring people. During the lead melting process, no flammable and explosive dangerous goods such as electric heating tubes should appear in the furnace to avoid danger.
5. When taking the dried lead ingots, you should pay attention to the neat and stable stacking of lead blocks to prevent the lead ingots from hitting people.
6. After the lead melting work is completed, cut off the power supply, clean the site and keep the site ventilated.
