Counterflow air-drying coolers are widely used in the cooling section of biomass pellet machines and feed pellet machines. They have a significant impact on the quality of pellets. The counterflow cooler mainly consists of a closed-air feeder, a bulk feeder, an upper and lower material leveler, and a cooling chamber, motor, discharge mechanism, etc. Among them, the discharge structure is the key structure, which is roughly divided into slide valve type, fence type, swing type, impeller type, vibration type, etc.

Working principle

When the counterflow cooler works, the discharge direction is opposite to the direction of the cold air, so it is called countercurrent. The granules that have passed through the granulation section have high temperatures and moisture and are inconvenient to store. The closed-air feeder is discharged into the cooling box from top to bottom. When it accumulates to a certain height, the loading level is triggered device, the motor is turned on, and the discharging mechanism discharges materials through the principle of left and right reciprocating motion; the cold the wind enters from the bottom of the box and flows from bottom to top, and contacts with high-temperature and high-humidity materials for heat exchange.

This achieves the effect of cooling and reducing moisture in the material. This cooling method avoids cold The direct contact between the wind and the hot material causes quenching and cracking, effectively ensuring the quality of the particles. When using the counterflow cooler, high material levels and fast discharge should be avoided as much as possible, and discharge should be used.The material amount is slightly larger than the feeding amount, which is beneficial to the cooling of the material and the operation of equipment.
